Falling in November, Jersey Shore Restaurant Week serves as a prime chance for food enthusiasts to take a load off before the bustle of the holiday season and enjoy delicious food with great atmospheres. Guests can enjoy a three course menu priced at just $30.11, complete with three choices of appetizers, entrées, and desserts.

The goal for diners is to experience restaurants they may not have heard about or been to yet and to be able to do that at a great price,” said Jim Flynn, chairman of Jersey Shore Restaurant Week. “For restaurateurs, it is an opportunity to boost their business at traditionally slow times of the year and to ‘show off’ their talents to people who haven’t enjoyed their restaurant yet.”

As Jersey Shore Restaurant Week has evolved into a community highlight, the best Italian restaurant in NJ is excited to join the impressive roster of top-notch restaurants along the Jersey Shore coast. The event has grown since its start in 2009, which initially attracted 56 restaurants.

Running from November 5 -14, 2010, Jersey Shore Restaurant Week gives locals and visitors a taste of the food and drink offerings of various New Jersey restaurants and pubs along the Jersey Shore.
The first Restaurant Week in November 2009 drew 56 restaurants, the second in April 2010, 75. Thousands came out to enjoy specially priced 3 course meals at the Shore’s best restaurants and all Special Events sold out. November 2010 will be the third Jersey Shore Restaurant Week.

The results of the 27th Annual Readers’ Choice Restaurant Poll recently honored the Red Bank brewery and Italian restaurant as it won best in Central NJ in both the Best Beer and Best Pub categories. Basil T’s Brewery and Italian Grill in Red Bank hosted wine tasting  on Wednesday, June 30 with Director of Imports Dario Pennino.

Since 1750, Mastroberardino has established a tradition of excellence in the mastery of Italian wine making. Basil T’s, a  Red Bank Pub and Brewery, was pleased to celebrate this historic vintner with an evening of fine wines and good friends.

Mastroberardino’s well balanced, versatile wines were perfectly paired with a selection of fruits and Italian cheeses, which optimized their complex characters for the attendees of this Basil T’s special event. Guests were treated to a complimentary tasting of some of Mastroberardino’s most popular selections, such as the earthy Falanghina 2008, which patrons of our Red Bank restaurant enjoyed as an aperitif.

Attendees of Basil T’s Mastroberardino wine tasting and meet and greet special event also enjoyed: Fiano di Avellino 2007, Greco di Tufo 2007 and Radici Taurasi 2004, which is one of the most famed wines in Italy and very well prized by the best known wine magazine, as Gambero Rosso and Espresso.

These exquisite Mastroberardino wines were available for sale at special pricing to all attendees of Red Bank bar’s event.
